A leaky Amiga 1200 puts recap work and meter tweezers on the bench

A leaking Amiga 1200 is the focus of Chris Edwards Restoration’s latest bench video, published on 20 October 2026. Edwards opens the machine for a capacitor recap and shows the board-level work involved in dealing with an ageing computer that cannot simply be treated as a parts-swap job.

The 27-minute video also gives the FNIRSI LCR-ST2 meter tweezers a practical outing on the bench. The useful angle is the repair process itself: component measurements and close inspection help make sense of a leaky board before anyone declares it fixed. Edwards presents this as a repair session, not a claim that every Amiga 1200 will have the same fault or outcome.
