A card game recovered from a 1980 FLEX 2 disk archive is getting another turn. In a video published on 7 November 2026, The 6502 Show demonstrates Swedish Whist running in a VIC-20 emulator after adapting the original TSC Extended BASIC program for other machines.
The appeal is in the portability: a text-only game preserved on one old disk can be made playable across very different 8-bit systems. The video shows the VIC-20 version in action and also discusses a 6800 version for Altair. The creator says the VIC-20 source and PRG are available from their linked resources; this is a demonstration of a revived program, not a new commercial release.
